Kamaole Sands #8-405

This was a nice place for our family vacation with our adult children and their families. Good location, easy in and out, great beach accessories made it fun for our granddaughter.

This place is great! Location is very nice, easy communications, amenities galore, clean, space for a nice large group. The catch is the water heater is condo sized we learned after we called property management. We felt like it was a bit much to have to strategize who could take a shower and who would have to wait for the hot water to replenish. We figured 1-1.5 short showers could be taken before there was no more hot water. That was an bummer with 6 of us traveling together. Especially if we were out all day. We highly suggest investing in a larger water heater. Other than that. Fantastic!!

We had 8 people staying in this unit- which is to say we maxed it out. And even then, we felt there was plenty of room for us to spread out. We walked over to the beach across the street (snorkeling with turtles, sunset views). We ate inside the unit (dining table actually sits 8 people), and we really appreciated having 3 bathrooms and plenty of beds.

My parents shared the king room suite- the AC worked very well in there, cooled the room quickly, and they were comfortable.

My daughter and my son’s girlfriend were in the two twin room. Also, very comfortable.

My older son was in the living room- he spread out and had a big space to himself. The AC has a challenge to cool that big space (one split AC and a loft ceiling- it’s a very large room) but he was comfortable and it was not an issue.

My husband and I shared the loft space, and my other son slept on the floor up there on an air mattress we brought with us. He won’t share a sofa bed with his brother, and there was a ton of space on the floor for the air mattress. The upstairs loft is a little open to the other great room, so bring sleep masks bc it can get very bright early on with the windows.

All in all, we really enjoyed our quick island hop to Maui and the ease of staying in the unit.

The beds were all comfortable, parking was easy, and the kitchen has plenty of dishes to use so we didn’t have to constantly be washing dishes (some units that are for 8 people give only 4 of each type of dish, for instance.)

Remember your own toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner) as that’s not provided.

One suggestion would be to please have some washcloths for use in the bathrooms and more bathroom towels in general. Just one large bath towel per person and I think 1-2 hand towels total would have been a challenge had we had a longer stay. I think a full set of towels per guest would be appreciated.

Very nice unit, nice complex, nice and close to Kamaole sands 3 beach. Excellent furniture. Very comfortable beds. Lots of space. In order to get the air conditioning to work properly you have to open the closet doors on the patio so the condenser can exhaust the hot air properly. The pool has very strict rules, The kids weren’t allowed to have a beach ball, or floaty toys and were told they can’t do canon balls into the pool. Other wise the BBQ pits are super nice. The resort is very nicely kept Staff is all super friendly. I found the patio noisy with all the traffic from the street that it over looks. It doesn’t have a lot of utensils and minimal cookware. It would be nice if more dishwasher detergent was provided. But overall this is a great place to stay!

Great location, responsive property manager, would stay here again

We had a great time. We did have to have the AC looked at and once that got fixed it was very nice.

As I said above this was our first time on Maui and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience than to stay in a condo in Kihei and away from the big resorts on the island. This condo was great and met all of our needs. It was clean, close to the beach, in a quiet area, had accessible bbq's, a pool, and Valley Isle was very attentive.

We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. The description of the property was accurate.

As many have mentioned, the location is ideal. Being across the street from the beach and playground was great for the child in our group. We could also walk to restaurants. Coconuts was our favorite! The unit is not on the complex's main green space which made it quieter especially in the evening.

The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of glasses and dishes for our party of six.

We did not run out of hot water unless we took six showers in a row.

We were able to keep the unit comfortable with the fans and the front door open. Yes, the loft bedroom is warmer but could be cooled down at night.

The communication with the management was excellent. They responded within hours to a minor maintenance issue and were accommodating to our needs. There were clear directions on how to work the fans, lights, TV, etc.

Nothing beats coffee on the balcony in the morning with a view of the mountains and a peak at the water!

Nice location, fair value

The condo is a great location across from the beach. We were able to walk to the beach everyday and night and watch the beautiful Maui sunset.
The condo slept 8 comfortably 3 bathrooms was amazing. Made life very easy for all us . We stayed here for 6 days 5 adults and 3 children. Linen was clean and well stocked. The sofa bed worked well for my 2 teenage children. It has 2 car spaces which was great for us. We loved our stay here the lanai was so lovely for our morning coffee.
The apartment had beach equipment which was so good we used the beach chairs and umbrella. We really enjoyed our stay here we would stay again .

Our family of five adults had a great stay. Unit was as advertised. Plenty of room. AC worked well. Steps from the beach and short walk to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend.

Great rental. We rented it for 4 days. Location to the beach is amazing. The place was stocked with dishes and beach chairs which helped a lot. The only disappointment was after one person showered, there was no more hot water. Cold showers for a few days was still worth being in Hawaii.

My family of 4 and two grandparents had a great stay. There was enough space for everyone to have a comfortable bed to sleep in and each room had its own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedroom in the loft was a little warmer than the other rooms since it was open, but there was an AC unit and multiple standing fans available to make it more comfortable. Very convenient to have a full size washer & dryer in the unit. Nice that beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and lots of other beach gear was available to use. Great location right across the street from a beach. We had a rental car, so this condo was a nice starting point to explore the island. Also good location to lots of food options and grocery stores. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this condo.

A short walk to the beach and even closer walk to the pool and beautiful grounds made this a favorite location for us. The condo kitchen was well stocked for meal prep. Trash chute right outside the door by the elevator was convenient. It was nice to have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The well stocked "fun closet" included beach chairs and umbrella, surf boards of various sizes, and a picnic cooler in the pantry. Parking was nice and close. Check in went quickly and the management team responded to our requests for information in a timely way, including when room was ready for check-in.

This rental was perfect for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked, there were beach towels and chairs, as well as a washer and dryer for us to use. Having 3 bathrooms for 6 people made our stay even better. There are several beaches within walking distance, and several more just a close drive away. The condo is on the 4th floor, but there is an elevator just outside the door, so no need to haul luggage up the stairs. There is a nice pool on the property, but we didn't use it because we were busy with other activities (road to Hana, whale watching, snorkeling at turtle beach, Haleakala Crater, enjoying the beautiful beaches close by). Our only "complaint" is that it took a while for the upstairs room to cool down. Be patient with the AC units. The condo will cool down...just not instantly. Overall, we were VERY satisfied with the condo!

6 of us stayed, parents and 2 adult kids and their SO’s. Zero complaints about the condo. Plenty of beach chairs and towels which were a must for us.

We loved our stay at Kamaole! The condo was perfect for our family, we had 3 kids and 4 adults stay. We had an amazing view of sunrise and sunset every day, or could walk down the street to the beach to enjoy the sunset. They had tons of beach chairs and supplies, and the beds were so comfortable. I would stay there over and over again.

The property accommodated our 7 adults very comfortably!

We were staying here during the big storms of December. AT one point we had a few small leaks (as did many other rentals). Kirsten did an excellent job of responding quickly and effectively to meet our needs.

Our group of six had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving at this beautiful rental. It was very spacious and well appointed. Very close to the beach and many activities and restaurants.

We were very pleased to have a 3 bed, 3 bath condo. Whenever we had a request of the Property Management Team, it was attended to in a timely fashion.

So happy to have a home-base in Maui. This condo covered the basics needed for 5 adults. It is a bit dated. Surprisingly no central a/c but there were units in all but the loft room. The loft room was quite warm but there was a supply of fans that could be used. Location was great - across the street from a great beach and easy commute to all sites and activities on the island. Lots of restaurants in the area. The complex has a pool and tennis courts. Parking was included as well. The management company was very responsive and helpful - an issue with the dishwasher was fixed the same morning as reported.

Loved the three bedrooms and three baths. Accommodated our large family and gave us room to gather. Great location. Stocked with cooking needs. Loved having the beech chairs, coolers and umbrellas. Made our stay very enjoyable.

Awesome location and very convenient. We hade a wonderful stay in Maui. The only downside was the air conditioning struggled to keep the condo comfortable. The space was very clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the beach supplies.

We stayed for a month and had a great time. The condo was great for our family and the location is great with close proximity to beaches shopping and restaurants. The condo was equipped with a good supply of cooking utensils and dishes and also has a good supply of things for the beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, masks& fins and boogie boards ( although the boogie boards are in pretty poor condition). The pool and jacuzzi are great and overall the property is very clean and well maintained. We had a few maintenance issues but were handled promptly and the staff at the property management company were great to work with and were very attentive to our needs. We would stay there again.

We had a great time in this location. It was perfectly located and the property and unit were lovely. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Renting this unit through VRBO/VIP was a breeze. Great communication before and after the renting process. There are a few updates this property is in need of but overall it was a great place to stay. Lots of towels, supplies for a day at the beach!
